why did mhi develop the toolkit/event registration?
Increasing numbers of charities are developing Community Event Toolkits and asking members of the community to register their community fundraisers in advance. MHI decided to follow suit, and here's why:
- Helping us help you: Knowing which organizations/individuals are running fundraisers allows MHI staff to help you envision your event! We can offer advice and guidance, and supply organizers with packages of MHI pamphlets if necessary.
- Tax receipts: Under certain conditions, MHI can offer tax receipts to donors who contribute to events organized by the general public. However, tax receipting must be discussed with MHI staff in advance of the event.
- Logo usage: We don't make our logo kit available on our website. By registering your event with us in advance, MHI can provide organizers with a logo kit to help you design your publicity materials.
- Promotions: By registering your event, MHI will know what fundraisers are coming up so we can get ready to promote them on social media.
