The United Church of Canada is generously supporting the capital campaign for Veterans' House: the Andy Carswell Building in three different ways: (1) United We Stand: the EOORC Campaign for Veterans' House, (2) the Quilts, Shawls and Afghans Project, and (3) Special gifts, including a $100,000 anonymous family foundation grant and a $50,000 Seeds of Hope grant. (1) united we stand
United We Stand: the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council (EOORC) Campaign for Veterans' House is a challenge to congregations and individuals across the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Region to raise $150,000 for the Andy Carswell Building. Churches are encouraged to host their own United We Stand Sunday Service and/or run fundraisers in their local communities before June 30, 2021! Commissionaires Ottawa will double all donations until the campaign ends.

(2) quilts, shawls & afghans
Local United Churches have been quilting, knitting and crocheting away in order to ensure each veteran who moves into Veterans' House: the Andy Carswell Building is provided with a welcoming present when they arrive in their units. Learn more about the Quilts, Shawls & Afghans Project!
